Bandwidth (or data transfer) is the measurement of data that is sent from your web host’s server down to the visitors computer.
Data refers to the files on your website, including webpages, images, zip files etc.
Here is the formula of calculating the bandwidth you need in a month:
Total Bandwidth = [# of visits in a day] x [page views per visit] x [average page size] x [# of days in a month]
So let’s say your website has 5000 visits in a day, 5 page views per visit, and a page size of 25KB:
5000 x 5 x 25kb x 30 = 18,750,000 kb = approximately 17.88gb
so your website needs 17.88gb bandwidth a month
